Database Administrator (Oracle)

Our client is a well-known Global Trading Company that is looking for an experienced DBA to add to their growing team!

***To apply for this role, you MUST be able to commit to an onsite model of 5 days in the office per week given the nature of the work this company do ***

You do NOT need to have had prior experience working for a trading firm to apply for this role, although it’s a nice to have.

What you’ll bring?

• 10+ years of experience in large-scale critical systems
• Strong expertise in Oracle and SQL-based environments
• Strong Linux experience
• Proven track record building and scaling databases as well as maintaining them
• Exposure to working across a breadth of databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Mongo DB etc)
• Experience deploying PL/SQL packages
• Experience working across regional / global teams

What you’ll be doing?

• Maintaining and scaling evolving database environments as this company continue to expand globally (legacy and greenfield)
• Supporting the setup of databases across multiple regions globally
• Handling a variety of database requests and different database setups
• Participating in architecture and environments builds as it relates to these databases
• Working in a tight-knit team of 4 DBA’s in Sydney with future team growth plans
